Life presents many circumstances that can be difficult for any person to navigate on their own. We aren’t born with the emotional regulation skills or coping skills needed to deal with the complexities of this fast-paced, high-pressure society. Some days we may be consumed with negative thoughts that hinder us from being who we want to be. Some days we are flooded with big emotions that are hard to control and seem to overpower us. Some days we experience worries that seem so big that it's hard for us to function. I offer a safe, therapeutic space for children, adolescents, and young adults to get in touch with their inner self and develop tools to help them through life’s challenges. For parents, I offer support and resources. For clients looking for neurological causes for their symptoms and for services to optimize their brain, I offer EEG-guided neurofeedback.
Meeting with a new therapist can feel intimidating and scary. A trusting relationship built with a therapist is critical for therapeutic success. I aim to be that confidant in your life who you can trust and feel comfortable talking to.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Houston and a Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas in Austin, Texas. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). I have a certificate in Neurofeedback training by the BCIA. Currently, I am attending the Applied Psychophysiology PhD program at Saybrook University.
Fun Fact: I love my Peloton bike!
